Privacy Policy
We collect as little as we can. This page says what we do collect and why.
What we collect and why
- Weekly email sign-up: your email address, to send the weekly digest. Unsubscribe from any email or by contacting us.
- Ratings: your name (published with the rating) and, optionally, an email (never published), used only to moderate and to reply if we need to.
- Reports and corrections: what you tell us, plus a hashed version of your IP address to limit abuse. We cannot turn the hash back into your address.
- Contact form: name, email and message, so we can reply.
- Server logs: our hosting provider records IP addresses and pages requested for security and error diagnosis, kept briefly.
- Analytics: cookie-free page-view counting to see which pages are useful. It does not identify you.
WhatsApp and Facebook groups
When you join a group from this site you leave our site and are subject to WhatsApp's or Facebook's terms. Joining a WhatsApp group shows your number to its members. We list groups but we don't run them.
Cookies
One session cookie needed for forms to work securely. No advertising cookies.
Third parties
- Hosting: Hostinger. Data you submit is stored on their servers.
- Payments for featured listings: Lemon Squeezy (card details never reach us). Local payments by EcoCash are handled directly.
- Links to venues, ticket sellers and other sites are subject to those sites' policies.
How long we keep data
Email addresses until you unsubscribe. Ratings for as long as the listing exists. Contact messages and reports for up to 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you: contact us and we'll respond within 30 days. Zimbabwe's Cyber and Data Protection Act and, for UK/EU visitors, UK GDPR/GDPR apply; you may also complain to POTRAZ or your local data protection authority.
